Battleship Movie

Let’s face it, the “Battleship” movie that Peter Berg has just been announced as directing for a 2011 release date ain’t gonna be all that much like the game. For one, it’s a low-tech game where you push sticks into sockets. Not a whole lot of “plot” there to create a movie around, in case you were wondering. So yeah, while Berg will direct “Battleship” based on the Hasbro game for Universal, let’s go and say it, calling it “Battleship” and linking it to the game is just a cheap marketing ploy.

Berg says as much, calling the film “a contemporary story of an international five-ship fleet engaged in a very dynamic, violent and intense battle”. Basically, forget the game, it’s just a gimmick. But hey, whatever works. It’s been a while since we’ve seen a Naval action movie.

Besides the “Battleship” project, Variety also reports that Berg has set up his adaptation of Marcus Luttrell’s biographical book “Lone Survivor” at Universal, and plans to direct the true Afghan War story as soon as he wraps “Battleship”. “Lone Survivor” recounts the true story of how Luttrell, a Navy SEALs was ambushed along with his unit during a mission in Afghanistan.

The former actor turned director Berg is one busy man. Besides an adaptation of “Dune”, he’s also announced a sequel to “Hancock”, which at this point looks like it’ll just have to wait until “Battleship” and “Lone Survivor” are out of the way. Hopefully Berg will do “Lone Survivor” first before the “Hancock” sequel, since we can always wait for the alcoholic superhero, but that Marcus Luttrell’s story just begs to be told now.

Joe Buck was with Artie Lange Video at the bottom of the post. The first episode of Joe Buck’s new show on HBO ended on a rather different note when comedian Artie Lange decided that what he’d seen of the show so far wasn’t great.

Artie Lange best known for his work on the Howard Stern Show, was part of a post-show segment with other comedians that streamed live online. Artie Lange roasted Joe Buck like there was no tomorrow, and added a pile of homophobic, sexist and crude jokes into the mix as well.

It’s had to know where to start. When Joe Buck announced that TMZ was his favorite website, Artie Lange replied “ Joe Buck, TMZ is your favorite website? What’s your second, $uck1ngc0ck.com?” Artie Lange also said among other things that Jessica Simpson was a Chris Farley-lookalike fat girl.

The reaction has varied from condemning Buck (most people think the show was bad before Lange appeared) to condemning Lange.

A music video which will serve as a promotional project for Drake's new single "Forever" has been made available for peek through two on-set pictures. Coming out via Twitter page of a fan by the name iLuvlola, the snaps show a grand set-up of a club.

In companion to the arrival of the photos, it is revealed that one of Drake's collaborators in the song, Lil Wayne, will make a cameo in this video project. As for other featured guests, Eminem and Kanye West, both of them are not spotted in the set. The video directed by Hype Williams is yet to have any premiere date.

"Forever" is the theme song of LeBron James' forthcoming documentary "More Than a Game". Its original version actually only had Drake, Weezy and Nut Da Kid rapping its verses. But, it was then re-recorded with the help from producer Boi-1da and the addition of the Slim Shady and Kanye's vocal.
